Delice D'Argental Truffle is a soft cow’s milk cheese from Burgundy, produced following a refined artisan tradition similar to the ‘Brillat-Savarin’ style. The cheese is hand-ladled into moulds, and its centre is filled with a creamy mixture of mascarpone and truffles (about 2%). It is matured for around 6 days at low temperatures to allow natural microflora to develop and to form a delicate white to cream-coloured rind.
Its texture is exceptionally soft, smooth, and melt-in-the-mouth, almost creamy. The aroma reveals subtle notes of milk, cream, and truffles, while on the palate it remains gentle and rounded, with an elegant, well-balanced truffle accent that adds depth without overpowering the cheese.
This is a modern interpretation of Burgundian cheesemaking, combining traditional techniques with a gourmet ingredient – truffles. The wooden box not only protects the cheese but also helps it reach optimal ripeness, allowing the texture to become even softer and the flavour more intense over time.
For the best experience, it is recommended to enjoy this cheese at room temperature, so its creaminess and aromas can fully develop. It is perfect on its own or as part of a cheese board, served with fresh bread. It pairs beautifully with elegant, fresh white wines made from ‘Chardonnay’, as well as with delicate sparkling wines that highlight its creamy texture and truffle nuances.
