This exquisite wine is crafted from a 90-hectare vineyard situated in the heart of the appellation. The vines thrive exclusively on rich clay-limestone and clay-silt soils, contributing to the wine's unique character.

Château d’Aiguilhe is a distinguished Bordeaux wine estate located in the Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation in the eastern part of the Bordeaux region, an area renowned for its authentic terroir and excellent red wines. Today, the estate is managed by Stephan von Neipperg and his family. This is a family wine project with extensive experience in Bordeaux winemaking, reflecting high quality standards and a clear ambition to craft elegant wines that faithfully express their terroir.
The vineyards of Château d’Aiguilhe are situated on hillsides composed of limestone, clay, and sandy soils, which offer excellent drainage and the ability to maintain an ideal balance between moisture and warmth. Such terroir allows the grapes to ripen evenly and reach full phenolic maturity while preserving natural acidity and freshness.
The estate covers approximately 40 hectares of vineyards, planted predominantly with classic Bordeaux red grape varieties: ‘Merlot’, ‘Cabernet Franc’, and ‘Cabernet Sauvignon’. Blends of these varieties enable the creation of wines characterized by structure, a clear fruit profile, refined tannins, and strong ageing potential.
The winemaking philosophy at Château d’Aiguilhe is based on respect for terroir and minimal intervention in the production process. The harvest is carried out by hand, and both fermentation and ageing stages are conducted in a way that preserves maximum aromatic purity and the natural structure of the wine. After fermentation, the wines are aged in French oak barrels, some of which are new, adding additional complexity, subtle spice notes, and elegant tannin refinement.
Château d’Aiguilhe wines are often described as balanced, elegant, and complex, with clear fruit expression, a distinct mineral layer, and a consistent structure that allows them to mature gracefully over decades. These are wines suitable both for enjoying now and for cellaring, enabling greater depth and development over time.
