Raudonasis sausas
Frontonio El Casetero is a red wine produced by Bodegas Frontonio, in D.O. Campo de Borja. Frontonio El Casetero is a fluid, fruity and juicy wine. On the nose, the intense aromas of ripe red fruit stand out, with lactic notes and a slight mineral nuance. In the mouth, it is much more fresh and easy to drink than the typical Grenache wines from the area.
Serve at 16-18 °C with grilled pork dishes, wild poultry: pheasant, partridge meat, veal sausages; tuna tartare, Iberico hams, rabbit dishes.
Bodegas Frontonio was created in 2008 by three friends from Aragón, Fernando Mora, aspirant Master of Wine, Mario López, oenologist from Bodegas Borsao, and Francisco Latasa, lawyer and international trade expert. The aim of Bodegas Frontonio is to dignify the area of Valdejalón and its vineyards, mainly planted with old Grenache, and with a continental-Mediterranean climate. In total, they directly manage around 50 hectares, with organic certification since 2017. Most part of the vineyards are located in the surroundings of Épila. They have different ages, exposures, altitudes and soil types. The climate is continental-Mediterranean with scarce rainfall (200-500 l/m2/year), 300 hours of sun per year, and days with a lot of wind, also called "Cierzo". Currently, Bodegas Frontonio makes garage wines in the back room of a small winery of bulk wines. They process takes place with minimum intervention, plot by plot. As a result, we can find excellent wines, authentic and with a lot of character.
