Rožinis sausas
The grapes come from 60 years old vines. This rose was made from bleeding of the “Kali Riza” Xinomavro, which is more concentrated in phenolic ingredients. Selected yeast gives a blossom nose. The wine ages for 4 months with regular batonnage (1-2 times a week) in order for the creamier mouthfeel to balance the high acidity. L’Esprit du Lac or ‘’the spirit of the lake’’ is the new rose wine from Kir-Yianni Estate. It captures the dynamic spirit of Xinomavro into an elegant refreshing rose wine. Light body, fresh acidity with peach and strawberry aromas.
Serve at 10-12 °C with salmon carpaccio, grilled poultry or vegetables and fresh, soft cheeses.
White rose, raspberry, strawberry and gravel aromas. Crisp palate with sappy nectarines enhanced by a long, complex, citrusy finish.
The history of Kir-Yianni Winery dates back to 1997, when one of the most influential personalities in the Greek wine world, Yiannis Boutaris, separated from his famous grandfather, the Boutari Wine Group, founded in 1879. Currently, his charismatic son, Stellios Boutaris, who is a fifth-generation winemaker, runs the Kir-Yianni winery, whose vineyards are located on the slopes of Mount Vermio, 300-700 meters above sea level. The two main vineyards on the farm, dominated by the local Xinomavro grape, are in the appeals of the Greek region of Amyndeon and Naoussa.
